Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political advisor who was the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 222. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009), the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a CNN political contributor from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her career in the 2001 re-election campaign in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki later served as press secretary in John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. Psaki was in office from 2005 until 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to the field of political communications and was press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 election campaign. 20 years ago, Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] She was hired by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30,2014. She returned to White House as Communications Director in 2015 and stayed until the end.
